Default Help asap please

Ok I need somebody to help me out I just a FULL l67 swap trans and motor in my 2001 monte carlo ss the motor and trash was out of a 98 pontiac gtp..I try to start my car and it won't start the security light is blinking I have already tried to let the key relearn the system but it's not working I have to jump start from the starter it starts and then cuts out and the security message start blinking ..please help I put over 3 grand n this car and it still not running

If you haven't done anything with the PCM, then there's your problem. It needs to be tuned to run, and the security light is probably related to the vehicle anti theft system. Could be bypassed if need be. Good luck.

My 97 did the exact same thing. Usually when the weather was damp. I would do the screwdriver trick about 3 times, and it would start on its own. I believe mine was bad security system.

Yours is probably because your pcm, and bcm don't know each other. Have you tried bypassing the security? h

Nighthawk and Hemivette both have it right. Your PCM is not enabling the fuel pump. The BCM is recognizing the code from the ignition module sensor through the serial data link so it starts initially, but the next step is for the PCM to enable the fuel pump. As Nighthawk suggested, the PCM needs to be flashed followed by a Passkey relearn procedure. Calibration ID's between the PCM and engine need to match. You may also need to do a Crankshaft Position Variation Relearn Procedure (CKPVR) which according to the book is necessary anytime you do an engine or PCM swap. See these videos:
