Help with 05 MC
I know I don't post on here much but I'm always on here reading the other threads. My 05 MC engine recently started shaking everytime I turn it on after it's been sitting for more then 3 hours. Car runs great but I'm afraid this can turn into a bigger problem. It also shakes/ trembles when I'm at a red light from time to time. I bought it from maroone last June with 52k it now has 60k. Any suggestions? I'm thinking spark plugs but a guy from autozone said it could be the wires. Thxs in advance.

I got an oil change last month with a new oil filter. The rpms do fluctuate from time to time. When I bought the car the cluster wasn't working so o had the dealership fix it but that was when i first bought the car 7-8months ago. Unless the oil I have in the car is not thick enough for the engine.

I think I have something that may help. Two PDF's zipped of some steps to diagnose what you're describing.
Hope it helps...
EDIT: This isn't specifically for a '05, but should be generic enough to help

It concerns me the "shaking" is when it is first started after sitting for about 3 hours. I assume after a little while the "shaking" (which I assume is a rough idle) goes away??
During this time period of "shaking" is there an unusually large cloud of white smoke coming out of the exhaust?

I dont think its the motor mounts After driving the car for the months I havent been on here I got a better understanding of the problem and I believe it has something to do woth the rpm meter. The rpm meter doesnt function as it should, most time time its jumping all over the place. When I bought the car the clusyer wasnt working so I had the dealer fix it since I was still under warrangy so idk if they shouldve resetted the rpm meters
