Default Heating issue

Hello guys I am a new member and have never joined a forum before so please pardon my lack of grammar/spelling skills. Lately I have purchased one of my personal dream cars. A 2004 intimidator Monte Carlo SS 3.8 S/C vin 1. I'm in love with the car, but am having an issue with it heating up. I have replaced the following: radiator, thermostat (195), water pump, and intake gaskets. The car runs at 208-214 constantly, and gets up to 225 under load. Could this be normal? I have never owned a supercharged car before so I don't really know what the correct operating range is for the engine. Any help would be very much appreciated thanks.

have you checked your pulley size on the supercharger? if someone has put a smaller pulley on then it means its making more boost and that means more heat,a 180 thermostat would help some

have you checked to see if your fans are turning on at the right temp.?

The pulley is stock. With a scanner on the vehicle the fans turn on around 205. Setting and idling the engine will fluctuate between 190-205. It's only when I drive it does it get to warming up. Is there a possible chance the catalytic converter could be stopping up? It hasn't set a code, but I know that GM had an issue with the cats on some w-chassis cars

ive seen a few members on here talked about the cat. getting clogged and ive had personal experience in a Silverado,it became sluggish until it wouldn't even move,we cut it off,hit one end of it with a rubber hammer and stuff just poured out

does it seem like your car is loosing power at times? 190-205 is pretty normal but it shouldn't get any higher than that on a stock car,if you plan to do any upgrades ZZPerformance.com has a stainless downpipe without a cat or with one for $130 so you don't have to worry about cutting your existing cat off and welding it back on

I have purchased the zzperformance 3" downpipe with cat delete. I have also done a combustion gas test and have just determined that #1 cylinder is leaking combustion in to the coolant jacket. I guess there was my heating issue . Now I don't know whether i should get cometic or fel-pro head gaskets?

Ive heard people talk good about Cometic but since I have no personal experience with either I couldn't give you my personal opinion

Ihope all goes well changing the gaskets,do you plan to do anything else while you have the heads off?

I actually pulled the heads today and found both heads cracked. Gonna look into a good set. Also going to install power log front and back.
