Default Heated Seats diagnosis Procedure

I have seen a lot of heated seats not working threads lately. Here is the electrical schematics for both seats, and diagnostic procedure to find out what is wrong from the GM service manual. I have the GM ESI software(Factory Service manuals) through model year 2005 for most GM model cars. This procedure will work for the 00-05 model year Monte Carlo's.

Interesting - thanks for sharing. My seat warmer on the 05 still works, but I'll keep this in mind if it stops.

I would suggest saving the pic to your computer and then from there you could zoom in on it better, just a thought?

also here is a pretty good how to on the heated seat fix with pics of the process. Heated seat fix

I apologize for asking but I have tried saving the wiring diagram images in multiple formats then zooming in. The image size is simply too small to magnify with any resolution. Would you mind posting them in a larger size or supply the link? Please.

THANK YOU to all who contributed to this thread. Just as was mentioned, the black wire at the bottom of the driver seat behind the corner had burned through. It was still connected but the wire had burned so badly that the metal had lost its' conductivity. Some solder and heat shrink and we now have a happy heated butt.
See image below.
