Default heat in a chicago winter

Hey i drive a 82 ls with a crate 350 and tons of other goodies, but one thing i need is heat. i recently bought the car during the summer so i didnt think much of it but now its getting colder and i need some help as to what i would need to get the heat running. some stuff is ripped out, so a complete list of stuff would be very helpful, thanks

Maybe is as simple as getting a new heater core.
All the 80's montes I have been looking over in the past month had no heater core in 'em.
