Default Headlights not bright enough

I am new to this forum I looked around a bit but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. The headlights on my 02 just aren't bright at all and there is very little difference between the high and low beams. I have already changed out the lights for brand new ones and i didn't help. Any suggestions on how to get nice bright lights?

Poor ground wire connections cause all kinds of electrical problems as our cars age and rust and/or corrosion sets in. I suggests checking those grounds. Here's a link to a thread that addresses a similar headlight problem:https://montecarloforum.com/forum/mo...h-beams-54676/

Another culprit could be the dimmer switch which is part of the Multi-function switch.

How are the lenses? If they are cloudy, yellowing or pitted they won't project well, but they can probably be polished

Good point "Junior Car", those plastic lenses can get dull.

If problem seems to be electrical here's a great thread posted by one our Administrators, "ChibiBlackSheep" listing common problems with our Montes including Headlight issues: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/fw...lutions-30154/
