having problems when car starts and heating...

Default having problems when car starts and heating...
i noticed that when i start the car up it takes forever for the car to warm up especially in the morning. also when i first start it up the rpm's sit above 1000 like i got my foot on the pedal. also it takes along time for my heat to warm up to. any idea why all this is happening?
