Here is what the book says on the pressure

Turn the ignition switch ON and the pump will run for about 2 seconds. Note the system pressure with the pump running, it should be between 40-47 psi.

The ignition switch may have to be cycled to the
ON position more than once to obtain maximum pressure. It is also normal for the pressure to drop slightly when the pump first stops, but it should then hold steady.
[*]
If the pressure is not as specified, verify that fuel pump operation is heard in the tank. [*]
If fuel pump operation is not heard, inspect the fuel pump relay and wiring. [*]
If fuel pump operation is heard, inspect the filter and lines for restriction. [*]
Start the engine and make sure the pressure decreases about 3-10 psi at idle. [*]
If fuel pressure does not decrease, inspect the fuel pressure regulator and hose. [*]
Disconnect the fuel pressure gauge.[/ol]

as far as droping the tank goes, you may not have to if it comes to that. check in the front of the trunk that there isnt an access panel first, i dont know for sure that there is one, and dont really wanna check myself cause its cold outside.

Tommarrow I will test out the pressure is there anyway it could be the idle air control sensor or anything else?

OK so I put the gauge on it today wow 43$ but anyway when I turn the key on the pressure jumps to like 52 and the back down to around 43 while running the pressure stays at around 43. Also when I pull the vacuum line off the pressure runs around 55 and actually dosnt die down and runs sounder untill gas starts spitting out the vaccum hook up is this normal?

Also should the pressure level stay the same when key is in the on posiition and engine is off. The pressure jumps to like 52 when the pump turns on for like 2 secondsand drops to like 43 when the pumps stops is this normal?

pressures sound normal.

if gas is spitting out the regulator after you take the vacuum line off that sounds like the problem.

Fuel did come out the regulator but it took a while and im not sure if its just because the pressure went up to 55 the mechanic said that after a while from the fuel filter being clogged it put back pressure on the pump and made the pump weak does this sounds right?

if any fuel ever comes out of the regulator, i'd say its bad. myself if i suspected one i would of removed it and tipped it so that the tip for the vacuum line was down,(doing that isnt practical for alot of ppl) often times none will come out when its on the car, but when tipped over you see that it was about full up to the vacuum port. so then after running fora bit the regulator fills up enough for fuel to come out the port.
