Default Handling 6th Gen...

What are some of the best mods some of you have done to improve handling of the 6th gen Monte's? I am more into handling these days...

Wheels, tires, bushings, lowering springs..?

Thanks,

The first thing I did to my Monte to improve handling was install a rear strut tower brace. The car feels a lot more solid and has less body flex now during cornering.

I see the front tower strut braces on ebay but not rears. Where did you get yours?

I added front and rear Strut Braces from ZZPerfromance.com (got the pair for less then $100 shipped on Black Friday). Very happy with those.

I also have Energy Suspension front poly sway bar bushings and end links. Honestly, I don't see much difference with those, but at least they won't degrade like the old rubber ones.

Get a good set of tires. I run Pirelli on mine, but there are a lot of great options out there. Second thing I did was GMPP sway bars. Between the two, it has improved it's cornering speed and feel in the "twisties" quite a bit.

As much as I am against lowering a daily driver, lowering your car and putting wider tires will help with handling.

Also GMPP used to make a handling kit, but it was discontinued. However you can still probably piece together one.

Front and rear strut tower braces are good, changing a lot of the bushings in parts / replacing those parts with higher quality replacements.

34mm front sway bar, trailing arms, there's a rear sway bar but i'm not sure of the fitment.

The front and rear braces are the same so they are interchangable, but you need brackets to install the rear one. I got my brackets here:

Unless you want to drop the struts and drill into your trunk (I recommend brackets)
