Default governor for shift points

hello all, been a minute but im back with hopefully the last crucial request of help. i picked up my monte today, speedo and tach are working flawless now(no jumping, bouncing, or wiggling) which is good but changing the driven didnt fix one thing, the shift points.

i thought that possibly changing the driven gear in the 700r4(3.42 gears)to the proper size would not only calibrate my speedo and tach but also let the car realize that its not shifting at the right spot. it seems like it goes through the gears back to back.

i would prefer to have around 2500-3000 for all shifts if possible

1-2 10-20
2-3 25-35
3-4 40-50 but at this point any feedback is accepted. if you could recommend kits and which springs and weight you use, i would appreciate mucho gracias

More than likely you may need to adjust the kick down linkage on the transmission/carb.
