Default Gauges gone bad,Windsheild wiper switch bad!

The gauges on my monte have gone speedo, temp, and sometimes the gas gauge(sems aswhen there drastic tempature change it acts funny). Heres my question is it cheaper to replacethe whole Instrument Speedo Cluster or take it to the shop and see what they say(dont really want to). Also my windsheild wiper switch turns on but at different speeds and shuts off only when it wants to(stopping the wipers in middle of windsheild),would this be the motor?Anyhelp is appreatiated!

The gas gauge on my 2005 LT was acting crazy this past summer. I was expecting to have the sending unit replaced. At my last oil change I had my service guy check my original battery and it needed to be replaced. Since then my gauge has been working fine. Check if your battery is ok.
