Just wondering if its easy job and how to do a full flush for transmission on the 6th?

 

A full flush or a draining? Shops use special equipment to actually do a flush and how thorough it is varies depending on what they have. Lots of opinions on flushes vs draining. Many people have had the tranny act up after a flush unless it has been done regularly on the car. How many miles on the car and what does the fluid look/smell like?

 

I've seen this topic beat to death on various forums. My personal opinion and what I tell my customers is to do just a drain/refill with a quality filter every 30k. Switch to dexron 6 while your there.

 

That's also what I recommend to everyone that asks.

 

138xxx miles. Color is darker than should be. That's why was thinking about changing out old fluild with some dexron 6

 

I just did a change out on my car, a filter from napa and Dexron III and she shifts like a dream, it is an EXTERMLY messy job though!
