Default Fuel Tank Help

After 47 years the fuel tank on our remodeled 1970 Monte Carlo finally gave out and it started leaking around the seal at the midpoint of the tank. It does not appear to have any vents yet some of the options from OPGI have multiple vent options. If it didn't have one to begin with, should/can I purchase one with vents? And if so, what risks should I be aware of?

A friend of mine got a 70 chevelle out of moth ***** a few years ago and he replaced the fuel tank with a new one, I am not a 100% sure who the Vendor was I think Year one maybe and he indicated they were very helpful, in his project.
I owned a 71 Monte back in the Day, for about 3 Months and then I went back to a Camaro Z/28, just didn't have the racing bug gone yet.
