Default Fixing seat belts

So my drivers seatbelt is retracting slower and slower. does anyone know if the tensioner/retractor can be serviced and cleaned? Really tired of having to manually retract it.

mine is the same way, you can pull the molding off to see the retractor and see if there is anything caught up in it, I'm going to look into mine next time i'm home and i will let you know what I find out

Try getting to the base of the retractor and making sure the retractor is straight up and down. If you turn the retractor at any angle except the position its mounted in the car, it will lock up. Its a safety feature in case you flip or roll your car. Sometimes the retractor will work itself off to one side and give you problems. Loosen the bolt, make sure the retractor is straight up and down and the belt operates properly and then tighten the bolt. It may not be your problem but its a good place to start.
