Well...guess what. She died again. This time she dies with hesitation and a jerk. Ughhhh

 

Been reading up on all this stuff while I am laid up and the one thing keeps surfacing is the ignition switch, if it is bad or going bad this stuff you are experiencing are the symptoms, maybe you might want to check that out. Also watching the Garage Squad show the other day they had some brand new parts that were bad and caused a bit of havoc for a while.

 

Someone on another post mentioned ICM...I'll do some research. My mechanic asked me last nite if I had a big key ring. I said yes. He told me to use just the one key and see what happened. I remember that being an issue on some gm products. I've not driven it today yet.

 

Still hasn't died..A week and a day now. Acdelco maf installed. Keep your fingers crossed!

 

Sounds like it's your ignition switch? Did you check for the recall on your car?

 

I did check and the only recall is for the oil leak on the exhaust that was released this month. Perhaps a previous owner already had that corrected. Are recalls cleared from a VIN once they are fixed?

 

I got the Key fobs from Amazon I think. Gave up on that!

The problem with her seat is the common one listed on here in a post..the burned hole in the lower left of the drivers seat. As I recall that takes some know-how to tackle so not sure if I am ready for that.

Now, we are having what is either a passlock, wiring issue or bcm issue. She keeps blowing the fuse for the door lock and trunk release and the security light comes on every 5 or so times you start. The relearn works to clear the security light but I'm trying to see if all this is related or just coincidently happening at the same times.
