Ok well recently I bought a 1985 Monte Carlo from a friend. Its a V6 fuel injected engine, ok but here is the problem. When the car is in park it idles perfectly but when you try to put it in gear it dies or whenever you rev it or step on the gas. Oh and should probably tell you to start the car we have to put some gas in the throttle body.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

perhaps a bad fuel pump or filter.
