Default Elbow

Was working on my throttle body, and accidently broke a elbow that was attached to it. I'm assuming it was part of a vacuum line but not sure. Little help please

The only elbow I can think of would be plastic. Which engine do you have and where on the T-body was the elbow? A pic would work best.

You may not be allowed to add a pic at the moment as your account is still awaiting e-mail confirmation.

Here's a pic. The other account is my brother's. The engine is a L67. The car is his, but he's on base for the next couple months in MO, so I get to take care of it while he's gone.

I' couldn't see the Pic so I thought incase someone else cant see it I would repost it..

Not sure if there is a replacement...
You may end up having to get another throttle body...
Depending also on what motor, etc....
I'm sure someone else will chime in with other ideas/knowledge.

Thank you for the reply and repost, Stumpmi. The motor is a L67. Do you know is the elbow has a specific name or not?

OK, I don't know the layout as well on the L67, BUT, that elbow was probably a 90 degree elbow into that spot on the throttle body. That plastic line could also be getting brittle. But, you could probably get a piece of just vacuum tubing from the parts store (they normally sell it by the foot) and just reconnect it all. Heck, the part store may have an elbow.

I had to replace the equivalent line set on my L36 powered Monte (on the other end, mine has a U-shaped hose and it dry rotted).

If you go to the dealer, you will probably have to buy the entire lines set (I think mine was under $20).

You may also want to check these guys (in addition to the local parts stores) for ideas:

Thanks for the replies! I'll be looking around. Also the pervious owner of the monte had put electrical tape around the part that had broken off and we saw that it had dry rotten, as most of the rest of the elbow.

Just get some vacuum hose and run it from that spot to the evap (or wherever it goes).

Sounds good. I'm betting I could just force the hose to fit the nozzel and connect it to the Tbody.
