Hey Peeps......... 2001 monte carlo

I need to get at the drivers side "dual zone" climate control module. I can reach the the passenger side no problem but the drivers side is a bitch. Do I need to take out the top dash board to get this module out?? If so, do I need to worry about air bags going off?

PROBLEM: No control of the drivers side tempature. WIth AC on the drivers side still blows out HOT air. AC is on the passenger side.

you can always pull the fuse and disconnect the battery to not worry about the air bags.
