Default Dual climate control vs. Single climate control unit

When the AC is on the driver's side blows cold and the passenger side blows warm and weak. When the heat is on the passenger side blows hot while the driver's side blows luke warm a and weak. The exact opposite. I replaced the blend actuator door today with no real difference.

I used to have dual climate controls but when the climate control unit went out I replaced it wirh a single climate control unit. Could this have caused the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

From my understanding, when you go from a dual climate unit to a single, it can adversely affect the blend door actuation. Both the driver and passenger blend doors are controlled independently on the dual zone unit. I mistakenly did that on a BMW that had that and I had to shell out more cash and time to swap out the single zone back to a dual zone.

Thank you for the reply. I suspected as much. Switching out the climate control back to dual controls has been added to the "to-do" list.
