Recently purchased a 2007 Monte Carlo LS with 119K miles. The other day I started the engine, released the parking brake and immediately the alarm chime started. The Driver Information Center displayed Auto Headlights ON and Auto Headlights Off. I cycled the headlight control through all the options but this on/off continues. To get around this problem, I am switching the lights to parking lights during the day and regular headlights at night.
Any thoughts or ideas where the possible culprit is?

 

Sounds like the sensor for the DRL (the little bubble looking thing in the center of your dash up near the windshield) is going bad.
