Default Drivers Side Mirror

A couple of months back, somebody smashed out my drivers-side side view mirror. Glass is cracked. I want to replace it soon, and called a local dealer. It's about 90 bucks for the glass. Online, I can find the whole mirror assembly for under 70.

The question is....

I have no idea if my mirrors are heated or not. It's about the same price for a heated or non-heated mirror online.

If I buy a heated mirror, and my mirrors happen to be non-heated, will the wiring harness be the same? If it is the same, will the harness be wired to provide heat to the mirror (on the car side of the harness)?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to order the mirror in the next few days and tear my door apart this weekend.

Also, if anybody has replaced their stock speakers in the front door, do you have any recommendations for what speakers to upgrade with that do not require much modification to the mounting brackets?

Thanks,

Riggs.

Default RE: Drivers Side Mirror

I would be careful about aftermarket mirrors. I know 1st hand, some are JUNK. Stick to a factory mirror, you'll be MUCH happier. My aftermarket one vibrated so bad, you couldn't use it. The body shop put in a 2nd, a factory mirror, and all is well. Buying 2 mirrors didn't save them any money, did it? Can't answer about the harness.
Speakers, buy QUALITY 6 1/2" 3 or 4 ways, such as Pioneer. They just bolt in. The rear speakers are crap, also, IMHO. Same applies there, buy quality 6x9 3 ways.
