door pin fix?

Default door pin fix?

the door pin on my 1987 monte has become so loose( you can move it around quite a bit with your hand) that the door wont completely shut...

how can i fix this?

No, I haven't heard of this place. Thanks for it.

I'm not talking about the hinge. I'm talking about the part the door mechanism releases when you open the door.

Do you mean the door striker? There should be bolts that hold the striker tight. They may have just came loose.

Ya it's the stricker. How do I get to it? Behind the interior panels?

Monte Carlo 3831- do you have any more good websites? Haha.

I'm in the middle of restoring my Monte, so these websites might be useful.

it it's self is the bolt, the inside is the nut, you should be able to find the torx bit to fit it and tighten it up, just make sute you get it ligned up

well what if the striker is broke... so tightening isnt working

you'll have to replace it

you'll probably have to get the plate also which is on the inside of the body, it can be accessed by removing the interior panel
Dixie doesn't have any, you should be able to get one from any G-body could probably get them from a junk yard

sounds like it's stripped
