Door panel removal

Knowing what I know now, yes but you need to take out the torx screws too. There is a metal plate that is attached to one of the two hard plastic parts that screw #3 hold together, and the torx screws pass through it and anchor the pull handle to the door. Also the knowledge of where those clips are - front, back & side - I could take a thin blade and push the clip back.

The Firebird was way easier. Somebody from the power window/mirror switch syndicate can steal hundreds of 95 F-body switches in a single evening. Not so with the Monte.

Speaking of mirror control - I'll confess now that it fell apart on me when trying to unplug it. It all went back together and works (whew!). Ever take a TV remote apart when a button quits working? The inside of the mirror control is the same thing, a circuit board with copper pads, a rubber pad with carbon spots that make contact with those copper pads, and the hard buttons that you press. You may be able to fix it if the copper pads are dirty or the parts are loose.
