Ok so after getting this car running after 2 fuel pumps, a head, and an injector plus burning 5 year old gas it runs fine and drives fine except for the trans issue not to worried about that right now, drove to pittsburgh from the dc area about 3 1/2 hrs non stop.

My car will crank but nothing, then i try it the second time its a slow long crank and then fires up and idles pretty decent. It seems its not getting fuel the first time or could it be the computer any help would help..checked fuses and wires the whole starting system..it also has the original starter if that helps.

 

some aftermarked fuel pumps do not have a checkball in them, so they basically lose their prime when you let them sit for a while....try turning the key to the ON positon for about 1 second before trying to start.
