Default Dead battery

I have a new battery in the car..didn't drive it yesterday,it got to 0 deg today and when I went to the car the radar detector was beeping low battery..turned the key and nothing...isn't there a control that shuts all power off after some time? why didn't it and the computer or something sucked the battery dead...

The computer itself has a timer built in to shut power down to interior lights and devices that the car controls if you added something to the car it may not shut that off.

Or maybe the cold drained the battery since it wasn't driven. Another possible

Charge the battery with a charger (not the alternator), check all your cable connections, then buy a battery blanket.

*Make sure the battery isn't frozen prior to charging it.

Un plug the radar detector...

In the cold weather and any draw on the battery will kill it sitting overnite.

I use to work with Michigans largest towing company and we saw a lot from anything from a radar detactor plugged in..To an interior light, trunklight..etc..Little draws kill it in the cold overnight.

Makes sense.
