they dont bother me, it is dumb tho, i think the auto lights at night is understandable because some people are stupid and like to drive with their lights off, but if i pull the **** out one slot, my lights shut off, except for my signals, those stay on

 

why cant you cut the power wire running to your drl, not brights, but drl's and splice it into your front parking lights. so it will throw power through your yellow parking light instead of high beam? so you still have that "look there is a car coming at you feature" but it looks better?

 

or do something like this so your fog lights come on instead of drls

My DRLs went out at the same time that my service engine light came on. If I remove my DRLs will the service light go out

 

This is an old thread so I doubt you'll get much for replies from the original posters.

The CEL will turn on if the DRLs go out though. You may want to check the fuse and the relay, if one of those went out and you replace it, it should probably get rid of your CEL. Unless there is another issue with the car of course.
