Default Crossed Drilled Rotors

I bought new front and rear cross drilled rotors. Before I install these rotors has anyone had any problems with them? If so what kind of problems? If they were a wasted investment i will re-sell them. They have to be better then the crappy stock rotors I have on there now, I only have 18000 miles on the 06 SS and they already warped.

Any suggestions will help thanks...

CrossDrilled rotors eat up your pads quickly and have a tendancy to crack after time. If you are doing just regular driving it shouldn't be that big of an issue, but if you play a bit then you will replace them quicker. I would look at new brake pads every 10,000 miles under normal wear and tear and 30,000 before new rotors.

If your stock ones are warped at 18,000 it is either a problem with how you brake or they were just a bad set oem - may be covered under warantee.

'99 model grand am's had that problem. Mine were replaced under warranty.
Give it a try, ya never know, dealer may give ya a new set. But more than likely they'll just turn 'em.

It's the mounting that's warping the rotors. ONLY hand torque them at 100#. Recheck them after 50 mi and 100 mi. Improperly torqued lugs are 90% of the reason rotors are warped. Get rid of the impact wrench.
Secondly, cross drilled rotors are not as strong as regular or slotted rotors, unless they are high dollar units, where the cross drilling doesn't hit the vanes. Also, are they plated like the Powerslots? Or are they going to rust and look like crap in a week, like the NAPA units I had on my '01 Impala.
Factory rotors are actually pretty high quality rotors. Like I said, from experience, warping is from mis-mounts.
With low miles on your car, if the dealer won't replace them, they will turn them at least once for free. MAKE SURE THEY HAND TORQUE THEM!!!!!!!!!

I took the vehicle into the dealership they turned the rotors for like 200 miles they were fine, now there is still a pulsation while breaking that is annoying. If I take the SS in again and tell them I want new rotors on the vehicle will they grant my request??
