My daughter said that Midas did a complete inspection (it stalled on her mid intersection and scared her pretty bad) and told her (22 and a very pretty girl) that it needed 2700 in parts n labour and was dangerous to drive. Scared her even more! Said all 4 wheel bearings are bad ( rear ones have 1k on them) and the ABS control module was bad and only a used one on ebay was available. I drove 4hrs to her and bought her a 08 vue v6 unplugged the ABS harness and drove it home. The front bearing is going so I bought 2 more. I found a place in cali that will rebuild the module for 107.00 and have it back in 2 days.

They took advantage of her, I spoke to the manager and he sent me the invoice and played dumb. Showed our mechanic and he was pissed because he made sure that car was in good shape before leaving for college. This site is great, thank you for your direction!

Damn, the bearings and module huh? And yes, young girl, they are always gonna try to take advantage of women, unless she knew her stuff but glad things are working out for you

I just had my radiator replaced, fresh coolant put in, etc. My low coolant light comes on. At times, it will shut off for a short amount of time. Any ideas of what I can do?
