Well i think i finally found the answer to the problem over on the saturn forums so if anybody ever googles it they can find it here. Basically the reluctor rings on the outer cv joints are cracked or cracking but not bad enough to the point where it well set off the abs light. The solution is to replace the outer CV joint as the gear is part of the joint and can't be replaced separately.
