Check Engine light on....again
Okay on November the 9th my Check Engine light came on so I to it to mylocal autozone for the free inspection. The report that it was an emission/leak problem. Keep in mind I know nothing about the guts of my car. I then take it to my local Firestone which my family has been going to for over 15 years. The guy that I talked to told me that it would cost over 1300 dollars to repair. He said my antifreeze and oil were mixing(I believe it was those two) and I needed a new intake manifold and I needed new radiator hoses and some other things.I get the car back and everything is fine.....until yesterday. My check engine light comes on again.I did put gas in it the night before and I wasnt sure if I closed the gas cap tight enough so once I did that I thought I was okay. Its still on now so what could it be?
Thanks for any opinions/thoughts.
Also I forgot to mention that the floor part behind my passenger seat is always wet for some reason and it gives off a somewhat sweet smell.I know that sounds odd but what could it be?

Go back to AutoZone. Have them READ >> ALL << of the CODES and then ... go inside and have them run you the PRINTOUT ... of what Codes were tripped and the complete CHECKLIST of what to TROUBLESHOOT as the possibility for each of the Codes that are showing. Not just the Code Number and what CAUSED the Code to get tripped. GET the PRINTOUT.
Scan it or type it all in so we can see whats going-on with your car.
We don't know what it could be. We NEED the INFO on the Printout. Then, ... we'll know!
This is what I got as a print out when I went the first time to Firestone.I'll print my Autozone report tomorrow:

Actually, if you have an 'O2 Monte ... you might qualify for the DexCool Settlement. Call Chevrolet Customer Service and tell them your Intake Manifold went and the DexCool caused it.

I think I missed my chance

Thanks for that info.I dont smell anything now and my floors arent wet anymore. I took my car to Autozone and it was my EGR Valve. It needed to be cleaned. The guy said it may not fix my problem which gave me a bit of an uneasy feeling. My family has been going to this place for over 20 years though so I trust em not to do any harm to my Carlo.
