I have a 2004 SS Dale JR edition and my check engine light just came on, does anyone know if it could mean it's due for an oil change or would that show up in the message center? Any help would be appreciated. And fyi it has 124,000 miles

 

CEL wouldn't go for the oil.

It could be anything, just gotta get that code read. (most auto part stores will do that for you for free)

 

Got it checked turned out the o2 sensor went out, got it changed and now everything is good to go. Thanks.

 

I had an O2 sensor go as well, just had my light go on and now chasing an eval code. Started with the gas cap, $45 so far so good at 2 weeks.
