Default changing Grill

I have the standard "slotted" grill that looks like it is attached to the bumper, but I keep hearing about people chaning their grill. How do they do that? Do they need a new bumper?

That is a good question, I thought that mine was one piece. I'll have to look at mine this evening. There are a couple of front replacements out there Razzi and Dealership designs comes to mind.

You are speaking of the lower grill right???

No the top grill with the Monte Carlo logo in the middle of. I see many people refer to the replacement grill as the Tony Stewart Grill.

Ahhh that one... Yep, it was noted that SLP offers one as well as the Tony Stewart edition one can be purchased at the dealer if I am not mistaken.

You'll have to call SLP as they do not have it listed on the web site.

So all you are really doing is just changeing the face of the grill, not the actuall size of the opening?

From what I know of it, it is an insert that fits in the factory opening. You'll have to remove the Monte crest..

I have the T. Stewart GMParts grille on my car. There is no changing of the bumper, or existing grille...
As note by others you just have to take the Monte Carlo crest emblem off the front of the bumper/grille... Then,
my car is Blue so I use blackout tape to cover the blue that would show through the T.S. grille when it's on the car...
The grille itself just fits over top of the slit openings in the bumper... It has 3M moulding tape on the back of the grill
that holds the grille to the bumper... I've had mine on the car for over a year now without any issues of it trying to
unstick itself from the bumper... It comes painted black.. I left mine all black, some people paint the edge of the grille
body color, some people have painted the whole grille body color... Personal preference on that...
That's my 2 cents on the grille..
