Default Changing fuel injectors..

Do I need to remove the alt and all that crap or can I just take the fuel rail off and change them?

Remove the negative terminal, but yeah should just need to pop the fuel rail off and change. A lot of vacuum lines get removed to get out of the way also.

Need opinions now.. Got the injectors changed and ended up pouring a bunch of gas down most of the holes for the injectors. Took forever to finally start it because I assume it was flooded..

NOW it wont stay running and its like there is no sound to the engine while it IS running. Its strange, its running very rough and its almost silent now. It also wont stay running without holding the has down a good bit..

Thoughts?

Did you change with OEM? Are they fully seated?

OEM, yes.. Fully seated, I think.. Im pretty sure. I put the injectors into the engine first, then put the fuel rail on top. It didnt seem like I could push them down anymore and the clips went on properly so I assume they are.. Also, no gas is leaking from them and the fuel rail

Ok put another set of injectors in but it still wont stay running and its very quiet.. It starts right up now tho so the injectors themselves are not the problem.

I did change the throttle body at the same time and left the IAC valve and TPS sensor in that came with it.. It was from the junkyard. Could either of those being bad cause this?

Does it stay running if you hold your foot on the gas? Check your vacuum lines and the FPR too.

Yea only if I hold my foot on the gas will it stay running. Vacuum lines are all good and I dont think the FPR would have gone bad would it?

I noticed two huge black soot marks on my driveway from the tail pipes.

Gonna go grab some security torx bits and change the TPS.

It is running smooth again but wont stay running unless I have the gas down.

Thanks for taking the time to reply so much..

Pull the line from the FPR and just smell it, see if it smells like fuel. Also unplug your MAF. (Don't do both at once, you are ruling things out).

Those are the 2 big offenders for a stall that won't stay running without giving it gas.

FPR is good as well as the MAF.

White smoke coming from tail pipes after I shut it off. They smell like gas horribly also.
