ok when i get in my car and start it the oil light comes on and the oil guage is a a little low but then when i give it a little gas the oil level goes up and the light goes off what the deal???

 

If you have plenty of oil in it my bet would be on the oil sensor/sending unit..

 

If you are talking about the change oil soon message, which is what your title says, then you need to do just that- Change the oil and reset the light.

The gauge on the dash is not an indication of oil level, but of oil pressure. So which light are you getting?
