i have a 2002 monte carlo ls, i pulled it into the shop to clean the battery terminals, when i reconnected it the car wouldnt start and my radio said it was locked.....my security light is on along with the check engine light, service vehicle soon light, and change oil soon light....we checked the battery and it is fine, i disconnected the terminal once again and then recconnected again and it still wouldnt start, it then began to chirp the horn about every 3 seconds and the headlights are not coming on...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Passlock has locked you out of your vehicle. There is a code to unlock it, I hope you have it. If not you will probably need to get it towed to a dealership for them to fix your security issue.

My fault, I wanna say you are screwed because the radio codes are an older thing.

Going to probably be a problem maybe with the BCM and I don't see a way of fixing this without the dealerships help.

 

With the '02 the radio locked because the Theft deterent wasn't disabled on it. If you don't have the code, you'll need a TechII to get it and unlock it.
As for the car not starting and everything going screwy, I'd say the BCM is shot. You could try the security relearn procedure, might work if it is a security problem and not the BCM, it's worth a shot anyway. Turn your key to the on psition, wait 10 minutes, turn off. Repeat these steps three times, then try to start. The security light should NOT be flashing at the end of this. Be sure to wait a full ten minutes each time, not a second sooner or it won't work.

 

Sounds like a passlock issue to me.
