Car won't start after running for an hour
I have a 2000 MC SS bought it new. Has 125000 miles on it. Have had very little trouble with it till now. After driving for approx. an hour and letting it set for an hour it won't start. The engine turns over but will not start. Had a shop look at it and they said it was the fuel pump. I had it replaced and it did not fix the problem. Looking for some kind of help.

Does it not crank, or does it start and die right away?
A lot of times if you can't do a hot start I could suspect the MAF sensor also. Try to unplug the sensor and try to start it.
Else you are going to have to make sure you have spark, fuel, and power

Tried the gas cap, did not work. Today I drove it for 20 miles and it shut down while driving. took three times to get started. It cranks the engine but it does not fire. After trying to start it when it is hot several times it backfires and then it starts. It is getting worse. Getting very frustrated
