noticed car had trouble starting. turn the key all the way and nothing. but if i try a few times it will eventually turn on. noticed that the radio thinks it has a cassette inside and makes a noise like its turning inside the radio even when the car is off and the radio is off. could this be draining the battery and making it hard to start? and does anyone know i can solve this problem like maybe finding the fuse to the stereo and taking that off (couldnt find the fuse for the radio). any help is appreciated.

 

When you try starting, does anything happen? Is the starter turning but the engine does not catch? Or is the starter not turning over? Are dash / interior lights working? If the starter doesn't turn initially but lights work, do the lights dim when you try to start?

 

Do electronics go haywire? It could be a bad, dead battery
