The benefits of headers come mostly from the evacuation of spent gasses from your cylinders. The more air that you can get in to and move out of your cylinders will allow you to burn more fuel and make more power. Doug Thorley makes headers for the LS4. There are much more complex reasons that headers are a good thing, but this is the simple version. I have not heard many good things about the K&N system for our cars. I have heard many more good things about the Cold Air Induction system. Good luck!

But we love to make fun of people, surely you wont deny us this opportunity, that wont be nice of you. Lol not really, but life is all about challenges. And if you have the money and time there are headers to be had for your car, I know of an 07 that has custom Jardine headers, but then again that Monte is SICK over the top. I would only really do headers as part of an overall extensive power upgrade to take take advantage the benefits they would provide to help offset the expense. Air, fuel, internals & exhaust.

The problem with the K&N is that it's not in a sealed box such as a Cold Air Inductions, Wizaired, ZZP, etc. The K&N doesn't seem to have as good of a heatshield and there's nothing covering/sealing the top. If your set on K&N it's still a good cold air intake but there are other's that will be a little better.

if you are talking about the CAI...then just do the work yourself. it is really easy and you could pry get it done in a couple hrs taking your time. I have the Cold Air Inductions system and it is great. much better than my old K&N.

also Doug Thorley makes headers for the 06-07 SS they are really spendy tho. best idea is to get them used for like 450-500
