Default Brake issue..

ok, today when i got in my car to go buy the stuff to clay bar my baby, i noticed something odd with the brakes...

if i press the pedal down, everything seems normal, but if i let off even a tiny bit and then press down again the brakes go almost to the floor...they still stop, but it goes down way to far for my taste!

any ideas what this may be? do you think that somehow i got air in the line?

It's possible. I'd check the fluid level. Should have a light come on if it gets low. Might have a problem with the master cylinder. also.

^^^Not sure how it happens, but you might need to bleed your brakes. Kind of a two person operation too, unless you have some of the new speed type bleeders.

Good luck.

UPDATE:

so after some digging through my brake system i found that the rubber Gasket/boot that is under the Master cylinder reservoir cap was swollen quite bad, not sure what caused it, but i believe it is the source of my air leak.

i replaced the gasket, but im still having the issue (though not as bad), this tells me i still have air in the line, so getting them bled is the next step.

thanks everyone for your help in getting to the bottom of this!
