Battery Recommendations
Hey all, I need to get a battery before I head out to the GM nationals and I was wondering what all you recommend. I was thinking of an original AC Delco battery to keep some originality, but it probably won't be worth the price.

For instance.. from a "Performance" stand point... anything around 750 CCA
should suffice.. should this be your main goal at the GM Nationals...
If its all about originality (OEM) My choice would be AC Delco....
The more original it is the More value it will hold... IMO
Hope this helps...

Do you have AAA? I recently purchased one installed in my driveway for $155..... It was pretty much the easiest way to go and from what I've heard it's a pita for 7th gens to install, mainly the 5.3, because the guy that did it was done in 20 minutes......
Might be a little easier for your 04 though.

I personally no longer like the Optima line of batteries. Went through 2 Red Tops in about 3 years. Now I run the Ac Delco battery as thats what the shop who built my car sales. Paul says they have the best warranty program and since it's an OEM battery it is manufactured to the highest standards. Been fine now for over 2 years.

It's not just the dealership that sells them, might save a few $$$ if you scope out in the phone book or internet for shops that sell them. Might save a few $$$ as dealerships are always top $$$. But who knows the savings might only be $15 or some lame amount and a dealership would always be there for warranty if you ever need it, where as a small shop could be gone in 3 years. So yeah your probably right, the dealership would be the hot ticket.
