Default Battery issues?

Guys i have a 06 ss and when i go to start it it will have power to dash lights interior and such but when i turn the key everything goes dead. Battery has a little over 12 volts i installed new battery cable terminals and still nothing. if i pull the fuse for the battery or disconnect the battery and reconnect it will have power again but goes completely dead soon as i turn the key to start it. Any ideas guys?

I think the first place you need to start is to make sure that your battery terminals and both ends of each of your battery cables and their contact points are clean and free of corrosion.

Yeah both cable terminals are brand new. This thing sat on a battery tender all winter and last time i fired it up in late December it was still fine.

I just seems like something is not making proper contact with it instantly going dead when you turn the key. I always just start with the free fixes first..checking every connection at each terminal, the starter, and the grounds.
