Average MPG in your Monte SS?
Hey, I'm still getting used to my new 2005 Monte Carlo SS. I love the car, but it seems like it's getting pretty bad MPG lol Do you guys generally put in 91 premium gas? (That's what I'm using atm) It just feels like it's eating it up with the quickness no matter how I drive.
I've cleaned the MAF checked the spark plugs, changed the airfilter to an after market one and the MPG still seem bad. It feels like I'm back in my 1997 ford thunderbird v8. Must be the supercharger, but online it says ETA 19 City 27 Highway ...
Fuel pressure regulator looks good also.

I'm getting 19-21 mpg in the city/country with my 05 SS. Don't do any highway driving. I do have some mods that help with air flow though. Is 91 Oct the highest in your area? I would put at least 92 in. My car has 90,500 miles on it BTW.

I get 20.5 in mine, with 50/50 town/highway driving... Mobil 93 octane... Mobil-1 5w-30... 5.3L engine... 330hp, 350 tq....

When I had my supercharged 04 I averaged a hair over 30 on the highway, around 20 or so with just city driving. My current N/A Monte SS got 32 going through the mountains on my way to Mom's for Thanskgiving and back. I still only get a hair over 20 so it's not a huge gain for a loss of 40 hp and 55 tq. I never did mod my 04 and haven't modded the 01 yet either. Haven't even done exhaust yet.
