Default Antifreeze leaking on to engine block and smoke coming from under the hood

Hey guys, I'm new here. My 04 monte ss has an antifreeze leak and I have no clue where its coming from. I've looked and there's a puddle of it on top of the engine block kinda under the supercharger. Also, I have noticed smoke coming from my headers, and I think it may be antifreeze that had leaked down and burnt because it has a kind of sweet smell to it, and the smoke is a sort of white with a blueish tint. Please help!

Smoke from where? The tailpipe? Where are you seeing the puddle? I need more info. Be as specific as you can.

Hello from what I have learned here on the forum, our cars have plastic coolant elbows to the heater that corrode and will leak on to the upper areas of the engine. Seems to be a common failure, Dorman makes the new aluminum elbows which will last much longer. The leak is typically on the passenger side of the block if I understand the others posts correctly. Link to upgraded elbows

Also check for signs of leakage around the EGR passage. The OE intake gaskets have been known to deteriorate in that area. Another place to check is around the throttle body.

Edit: If you pressurize the system (you can borrow a pressure tester from the parts store) it may help to locate the leak. Listen for a gurgling sound and/or leakage with approx. 15 lbs of pressure applied to the system.

Coolant elbows is a good place to look, but it'd be pretty difficult for it to find it's way to the headers. If it is then you're leaking a lot of coolant constantly. I would replace the elbows if that is indeed the culprit, however I would replace them with the newer version Aluminum elbows found here.
