Default Amplifier Getting Hot

My uncle has an 2002 SS Monte and the amplifier will work for a work for a while and shut down. He is wondering if there is a way to keep it cool.

The stock amplifier? Hooked to stock speakers?

Something is wrong if its getting so hot its shutting off if that's the case.

You need to get a new applifier. If you still have the stock amplifier hooked up to the stock system you may want to upgrade 2 an after market 4 channel amp for your front and rear soeakers . if you have an after-market amp then you need to replace that. you get what you pay for so if you get a cheaper amp those are going to overheat way quicker than if you get a quality amp and spend a little bit more money
