Default Amp question?

Ok so i am planning to install a new pioneer single DIN stereo into my 2001 monte carlo w onstar. I currently have a broken channel and am getting poor connection to my back right speaker. Will replacing the stereo fix this problem? If not, and the stock amp is the problem, what are my options?

I Nick, I'm not a stereo expert, but I'm bumping your thread question in hopes that one of our expert member's see's your thread & can help.

I don't think it will fix your poor connection to your rear right speaker ? Also post what model Pioneer you are installing & is it compatible with On Star ? You may need an adaptor ?

Good Luck on getting your sound system the way you want to `be & sound.

Maybe also check the wiring harness on the rear passenger floor, I've heard that due to leaks sometimes the harness gets corroded leads and that is the culprit to the right rear speaker!
