well i had a slow day at work today, and remebered the maf i bought on ebay a few months ago (too scared to start hackin my only one). before and after would be vutually idnetical to the pics space posted. so far i would say it's definately been worth the work, seems like its pickin up a bit over stock around 3000rpm, and i'm positive over 5000rpm. i wanna say the throttle response is a bit faster ( maybe thats cause its leaning it out ), but no red flags yet, no starting trouble, didnt seem to hurt low end power, no driveability issues. the check engine light hasnt been on, and with a 40 mile drive home i think if the fuel trims were too far out i would of known it by now, but it's something i'm curious to check. and i still have my old stocker, so i'm thinkin to try to take it fora trip over to cordova some day to get some actual numbers, and to make sure the butt dyno is properly calibrated. also with only 40 miles on it, i have no idea what my mileage is going to do.

i've always wondered about removing that screen, but it kind of scares me to get rid of that....wouldn't want to damage anything

not sure how it could unless your air filter is real crappy and lets anything in. but i havent had a bit of problem except this darn lead weight in my foot seems to be getting heavier

if you have a cone filter on your car it lets in a little more than the stock filters...thats all i'm worried about...i have to take my mass air flow sensor off and clean it so i can get that check engine light to go away..lol
