Default Airbag deploy - danger

Hello all,
the airbags on my 05 suddenly deployed in my driveway today. The airbag sensor light was on and I had not been driving it for worry that it might deploy suddenly, which it did this morning as it was idling. I had just gotten up from the drivers seat and stepped away from the car. If you see that light on it’s not a warning to be taken lightly. Thankfully the car was empty and sitting in my driveway.
This forum has been a great source of help to keep over the years. The least I could do is send a warning along just in case anyone sees the indicator. Beware!

That certainly is alarming!
You dodged a bullet that time... those things come out with a lot of force!

Both airbags. Wrecked the glass too, of course. But it was still running. Never say die!
