Air Conditioning Refrigerant

They measured mine at 45 degrees, but it seems to be working better than that. Two days later they did my dad's '97 GMC Safari conversion van and they got a reading of 39.5 degrees. Ball-park figures for you.

When we filled my 2000 ss up, we put it in at the very back, middle of the car...as if you looked for the middle of the front windshield and came straight down under the hood (behind the engine). Hope that helps

Does anyone know the air conditioning system's operating pressure for the 2004 system? Is the high side supposed to fluctuate when operating? Is the low side supposed to fluctuate when operating?

Before I go to a dealer I borrowed an A/C gauge manifold and on a 55 degree day it was steady 30 psi on the low pressure gauge with no fluctuation. On the high pressure gauge it would fluctuate between 140 psi and 185 psi. Revving the engine would not change this operation and it was super cold inside the car when I was finished, so it is working.
