Air Conditioning Help
I just got an 85 ss. The guy had the old compressor but no bolts with it or hardware. I have bought new accumulator, compressor, evaporator core and am awaiting the liquid line. I have the two lines for the compressor. However, I do not have any of the needed bolts. Should I be able to pick these up at a hardware store and what size are they for the compressor and condensor. Everything else is still hooked up so I should be able to reuse them. Trying to get this A/C working before the dead heat of the summer since I am in texas. Any more info needed to answer my questions?

I don't have any info on the diameter/pitch of the required bolts and couldn't find anything online. Your best bet is probably to take the components to the hardware store so you get the correct ones. Either that, or if you have a pitch gauge you can determine what you need prior to going. Grade 5 bolts are strong enough for the application, but I'm the 'overkill' type and replace grade 5 with grade 8 when I do a repair to my vehicle.

You might even consider going to a local scrap yard/Pick and Pull....
and get the correct mounts, parts your gonna need? Since your in Texas...
I would expect that you should be able to find them! At least in Texas ...Unlike Michigan where they end up rotting away.... There sure should be a lot of them available in the local yards!

Need help quick
Can someone send me a picture of how everything bolts up if you have a 85 or similar model? All I got was a box of junk so I ordered new parts and am sure I am missing some brackets as well. Maybe not though. I am having a heck of a time finding the liquid line that goes from the dryer to the condensor.
