When I turn on the car, the air compressor will start and run for a few seconds, but then stops and won't come back on. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

I also have some other problems such as the cruise control and heated seats don't work. I recently replaced the ignition switch, but that didn't fix any of my issues.

Any help is much appreciated.

 

Probably is low on freon, the freon has oils that lubricate the system, so when you are low the compressor shouldn't kick on so it doesn't get damaged.

 

I didn't know that. Do I have to take it somewhere to find out, or is there a way I can check the freon level myself?

 

It is recommended to have a professional do this, we have closed systems, so if you are low then you most likely have a leak.
